There has been a long history of vineyards in California and I have observed a great expansion in recent decades.  The resulting wines often hold respect world wide, and the visuals of the areas entice in the golden California light. They have a quiet soothing appeal. Manicured, tended to, cared for sections framed by the surrounding wildness.
The seed of this series actually began with a Catalina Island vineyard painting commissioned by Rusack Vineyards, and then became formalized in a collaboration with Greg Young Publishing.  After several years work it resulted in a published book, “Along the California Wine Trail” and a one person show of 37 paintings. Each work, representing various AVA regions of the state, was labeled with hand painted vintage lettering. Some of my collectors embrace the concept of hand painted lettering, while others have requested it removed. As you go through the images, some with type, others without, judge for yourself.

Some of the paintings have been sold, others are still available for purchase.
Contact me if interested in a purchase or new commission.
